MEDIWISH · Washer-disinfector cleaning monitoring
Keep cleaning-stage evidence in context
A washer-disinfector combines stages with different purposes. This section explains where test-soil removal checks fit into the cleaning stage and connects them to the appropriate products. A cleaning indicator result must be interpreted separately from evidence for the disinfection stage.
Match the check to the stage being assessed
Select the test
Compare test-soil formats and compatible holder configurations.
Load Check system
Review REF 2345678 and its current 100-card supply configuration.
Compatible holder
Use holder 12-5815 for Load Check 2345678.
| Stage or question | Relevant evidence | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Removal of applied test soil during cleaning | Indicator result from the specified holder and selected location, interpreted using its instructions | Does not establish the condition of every instrument |
| Residue on an instrument or other sampled surface | Inspection and an appropriate residue test where the procedure requires it | A sample result applies to that sampling method and location |
| Thermal disinfection | Process records and the applicable disinfection verification procedure | Removal of a cleaning test soil does not verify this stage |
| Subsequent sterilization | The separate sterilization process and its required monitoring | A cleaning indicator is not a sterilization indicator |
Build the cleaning check around the instructions
Use a model documented for the intended cleaning application. Select the holder, position, cycle and reading method before running the check. Monitoring frequency and locations must follow the facility’s established procedure and the applicable product and equipment instructions.
MEDIWISH Load Check 2345678 is a single-use cleaning indicator for selected washer-disinfector load locations. Its current pack contains 100 cards and its specified holder is 12-5815. The holder configuration and the product’s result-reading instructions are part of the check.
For comparison with other formats, use the cleaning indicators, test soils and holders selector. Existing product pages remain the source for model-specific data; selection here does not create a second product identity.
Review an unexpected result
Preserve the original observation and follow the facility’s response procedure. For Load Check, its IFU calls for assessment of the affected load and review of the cycle record, dosing, loading, holder position, spray access and equipment condition. A result does not identify a single root cause by itself.
Record the product REF and lot, holder, cycle and position with the observation and any action taken. Do not relocate a test solely to obtain a favourable result, and do not replace the original record with a repeat result.
Choose another method when the question differs
The cleaning validation methods overview separates test-soil removal from residue detection and ultrasonic activity testing. Request product or sample information with the equipment, intended cleaning check and selected REF.
