Prepare a specification that can be quoted
Describe the item being packaged, the intended sterilization method and the required pouch or reel format. Include usable and external dimensions where relevant; for reels, specify width and length, and for gusseted packaging include depth. Identify the requested paper or Tyvek grade, film structure, closure, process indicator and opening requirements, or provide the current packaging as a reference.
Add quantities by size, pilot and repeat-order expectations, label languages, box and carton requirements, destination country and delivery schedule. Include the version or date of your drawing and specification so the quotation and sample review refer to the same requirements.
Agree samples and production requirements
Before placing a production order, use a clear sequence:
- Identify an existing model or submit the proposed specification.
- Confirm the available construction, customization, documentation and commercial requirements.
- Agree sample arrangements and record acceptance of the selected sample, artwork and specification version.
- Confirm the final order details, quantity, packaging and delivery terms.
Sterilization compatibility is specific to the complete packaging configuration. Where printed indicators are included, their response identifies process exposure and does not prove sterility. Agree responsibilities for any application-specific validation or additional evidence within the project.
