La prueba Helix de Mediwish se puede reutilizar durante 200 ciclos y consta de un dispositivo PCD Helix Test de Mediwish y 200 tiras monitoras Helix Test de Mediwish. La tira indicadora es autoadhesiva para facilitar la documentación.
DESCRIPCIÓN
El Dispositivo de Desafío de Proceso Helix Test de Mediwish desarmado consta de las siguientes partes: un lumen estandarizado conectado a una tapa terminal, una cápsula indicadora con anillo de sellado "O", química de tinta Clase 2 conforme a ISO 11140-1, Clase 2.INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
Destornille la cápsula indicadora de la tapa terminal del lumen.
Retire un indicador Helix Test de Mediwish de la bolsa protectora y dóblelo por la mitad en la línea marcada con la tinta indicadora hacia adentro.
Insértelo en la cápsula indicadora con el pliegue primero.
Vuelva a colocar la cápsula indicadora girándola con la mano hasta que quede ajustada. NOTA: NO apriete excesivamente la tapa utilizando herramientas.
Coloque el dispositivo Helix Test de Mediwish ensamblado en el esterilizador, en posición horizontal, cerca del lugar más frío del esterilizador (generalmente en una repisa, cerca del desagüe, junto a la puerta).
Realice el ciclo del esterilizador previsto.
Al final del ciclo, retire el PCD Helix Test de Mediwish del esterilizador y espere un minuto para permitir que el dispositivo se enfríe antes de abrirlo. PRECAUCIÓN: El dispositivo Helix Test de Mediwish aún puede estar caliente. Use protección para las manos si es necesario.
Abra la cápsula indicadora y retire la tira monitora Helix Test de Mediwish. Lea los resultados.

10. Permita que el dispositivo se enfríe y seque antes del próximo uso. Busque uno o más tapones de agua que puedan bloquear la transmisión libre de aire o vapor a lo largo de toda la longitud del lumen. No utilice si hay tapones de agua. Colocar el dispositivo abierto en un lugar cálido y seco puede acelerar el secado.

INTERPRETACIÓN DE LOS RESULTADOS
El cambio de color de Rosa a Negro indica una eliminación satisfactoria del aire y penetración del vapor dentro de la carga. La presencia de cualquier color rosa restante indica condiciones de esterilización insuficientes y se recomienda la reesterilización. Siga los procedimientos del hospital para la reesterilización de la carga.
RETIRAR EL PAPEL PROTECTOR
Retire el papel protector doblando el monitor plegado sobre sí mismo, lo que hará que el papel protector se separe ligeramente del monitor en la línea de pliegue. Tome el papel protector y tire para retirarlo. Adhiera los monitores individuales a los registros según lo especifique la política del hospital.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Almacene a temperatura ambiente entre 10° y 40°C. No retire los monitores Helix Test de Mediwish de la bolsa de aluminio protectora hasta que estén listos para el procesamiento. Protéjalos de la humedad y el exceso de humedad volviendo a sellar las bolsas de aluminio después de cada uso. Una vez procesadas, las tiras monitoras son estables y no requieren condiciones especiales de almacenamiento.
